The Welsh Open is set to return to the World Disability Billiards and Snooker (WDBS) calendar this August for the first time in over three years and entry is now open for the unique event.
To be held at Redz Snooker Club, Cwmbran from 12-14 August 2022, the event will once again be staged using the 6-Red format of the game and will see players from all eight main classification groups compete together with one winner crowned on the final Sunday.
The tournament will be held over two days (Saturday and Sunday), following a one-day open/practice day (Friday). Players with any disability or level of experience are encouraged to come and try snooker under the guidance of qualified WPBSA Snooker Coaches during the Friday.
As in previous years at the event, Sunday’s Challenge Cup competition for players who have not qualified for the knockout rounds, will be a mixed classification doubles tournament, with players drawn together randomly prior to the draw.
Entry for all WDBS events is made through the WPBSA SnookerScores website:
Your entry will only be formally accepted upon receipt of your online entry AND payment of your entry fee by the event entry deadline.
