World Disability Billiards and Snooker (WDBS) is today pleased to announce that the upcoming UK Disability Championship is to be sponsored by The Cube Disability for the first time and entry for the event is now open.
The Cube Disability is Northamptonshire’s largest independent care provider for adults with learning disabilities and autism, providing a fun and modern care provision for all. The organisation is also home to the county’s first dedicated dance school for children with SEN and their siblings.
The event will also be supported by support charity The Goed Life, which aims to enhance the lives of people with learning disabilities; helping them find meaningful employment and supporting them and their families in any way they can.
WDBS is delighted to be able to work with both organisations to support what will be known as The Cube UK Disability Snooker Championship, which will run from 15-17 September 2022 at Barratts Snooker Club, Northampton.
The event will once again include tournaments for players from all eight main WDBS Classification Groups and will also include its traditional Friday Open Day for anybody with a disability to come and try snooker under the guidance of qualified WPBSA Snooker Coaches.
Jackie Bird, Cube Cruiser Manager said: “We see the ability, not the disability. With self-belief, dedication and determination, our abilities become stronger than our disabilities.”
Entry for The Cube UK Disability Snooker Championship is now open via WPBSA SnookerScores, with the deadline for entry set for Friday 8 September 2023.
Entry for all WDBS events is made through the WPBSA SnookerScores website:
Your entry will only be formally accepted upon receipt of your online entry AND payment of your entry fee by the event entry deadline.
