Nigel works as a specialist advisor in the areas of regulation, integrity and anti-corruption in sport. He is the Chairman of World Disability Billiards and Snooker and he is the Vice Chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association.
He is also the Chair of World Women’s Snooker, the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards, and the Vice President of the World Snooker Federation.
As well as his involvement in snooker he is the Chair of the Darts Regulation Authority and is the independent regulator of professional darts. He works as a freelance specialist advisor in the areas of sport regulation, integrity in sport and anti-corruption. He works with all the main sports on sports integrity and sits on the Sports Betting Integrity Forum and Sports Betting Group in the UK. He is a Sport Resolutions UK Panel of Arbitrators Special Member.
He was formerly the Head of Economic and Specialist Crime for the Metropolitan Police where he led some of the most sensitive enquiries conducted by New Scotland Yard. In 2010 he ran the corruption enquiry into members of the Pakistani Cricket Team.
He was awarded the Queens Police Medal for Distinguished Police Service in the 2009 Queens Birthday Honours.
