World Disability Billiards and Snooker (WDBS) will return to the Tradewell Snooker Club from 27-29 May 2022, with the Hull venue set to host its largest disability snooker competition to date.
Following the successful UK Disability Snooker Championship staged in Northampton last month – which saw entries received from a record 80 players – the 2022 Hull Open will also be open to players from all eight classification groups for the first time. Players will compete against players within their own classification group only.
As at Barratts, the event will include three days of competitive play, with players to enter on the basis that they will be expected to play from potentially 2:00pm on the Friday if scheduled.
Every effort will be made to accommodate players who cannot compete on the Friday, however, we cannot guarantee that this will be possible to avoid in all circumstances. Any player who may not be able to compete on the Friday is asked to inform us as soon as possible and prior to the entry deadline (20 May 2022) so that this can be considered.
As always, there will be a Friday Open Day held at which players with any disability or level of experience are encouraged to come and try snooker under the guidance of qualified WPBSA Snooker Coaches.
Entry for the event is NOT yet open – but we aim to release full information, including the full event entry pack and online entry links, as soon as possible.
