The World Disability Karnataka Open was held in India last weekend with 36 competitors taking part in the inaugural event.

The tournament was organised by the Karnataka Disability Billiards & Snooker Association (KDBSA), who aim to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to engage in billiards and snooker, promoting inclusivity, personal development, and sporting excellence.

Following on from their first Disability Snooker Camp held back in August, the KDBSA organised the first World Disability Karnataka Open which featured both beginners and experienced players competing across a range of classification groups.

Beginning with a day of classification on the Friday, before the two-day tournament over the weekend then saw the 36 cueists battling it out for glory.

The KDBSA also welcomed Arvind Savur, the renowned coach of billiards champion and former snooker professional Pankaj Advani, as chief guest at the event.
