Bio

Matthew Haslam is a multiple ranking event winner and one of the brightest young talents on the WDBS tour.

While still a teenager, Haslam reached the top of the world rankings in the Group 6B and has won seven titles on the WDBS tour.

Haslam made his debut at the 2019 Welsh Open and reached his first final two years later at the 2021 Stockport Open, when he was still only 16-years-old.

His first title arrived at the 2023 British Open, when he overcame James Hart 3-0 in the final, and has since gone on to add four further titles to his CV – including back-to-back Hull Open crowns in 2023 and 2024 and the prestigious Champion of Champions crown after an impressive whitewash victory over top-ranked Leroy Williams.

In September 2024, Haslam moved to the top of the world ranking list for the first time after lifting the UK Disability Championship title in Northampton. The following month, he defeated Williams 3-0 in the final of the first ever European Disability Snooker Championship.

Away from WDBS, Haslam also regularly competes in English national events organised by the EPSB and reached the last 16 of the English Under-21 Championship in 2024, as well being selected for the EPSB Junior Elite Performance Programme for the 2023/24 season.
